Ox-eye daisy
Chrysanthemum leucanthemum L.

 

Plant Description:

  • Upright daisy, growing up to 60 cm high
  • Heads borne singly at the top of the stem
  • Yellow disc florets and white ray florets
  • Introduced; found in meadows and moist roadsides
  • Used to treat sore eyes and to stop bleeding of bladders and ulcers
  • Is saturated with a bitter juice that repels insects
  • Found near Stop 6
