Alumroot
Heuchera richardsonii R. Br.
Plant Description:
- Open-wooded, moist prairie plant with a straight stem growing up to 50 cm tall
- Heart-shaped lobed leaves at base
- Closed pale pink flowers in loose clusters along the stem
- Roots can be applied to cuts to reduce bleeding and quicken healing
- Can make a tea to treat fevers and sore throats
- Found at Stop 1- on the Interpretive Nature Trail, and Stop 2
