Tragopogon dubius Scop.

 

Plant Description:

  • Introduced plant from the United States; found along roadsides and disturbed sites
  • Plant grows up to 60 cm tall; leaves are long and narrow like grass blades
  • Bright yellow flowers surrounded by large, green bracts
  • When this plant goes to seed it looks like dandelions, but the heads are much larger
  • Found at Stops 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, and 9
