Plant Description:

  • Less common bush than other rose species; growing up to 2 m tall
  • Stem covered in straight or curved spines
  • Leaves composed of 5 to 9 leaflets
  • Flowers are pink and the fruit is round
  • Found in ravines, moist areas and sandy slopes
  • Rose petals are edible
  • Found at Stop 1 - on Interpretive Nature and Hiking Trails, and at Stops 4, 6, 7, 9, and 12
