Wolfwillow or Silverberry
Elaeagnus commutata Bernh.

 

Plant Description:

  • Shrubs growing 2 to 5 m high
  • Leaves are silvery and rough on both sides
  • Yellowish flowers form clusters of 2 or 3
  • Fruit is oval and silvery
  • Found on sandy soils and soils; tends to take over in over-grazed pastures
  • Found at Stops 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11
