Plant Description:

  • Slender, prairie grass growing up to 60 cm tall
  • Prominently veined blades
  • Produces up to 10 flowers per spikelet
  • Flowers have a short pointed awn
  • Occurs in moist, sandy areas
  • Found at Stop 2
