Western snowberry
Symphoricarpus occidentalis Hook.
Plant Description:
- Bush growing up to 1 m tall
- Widespread in the Prairies in ravines, moist and dry prairies, and open-forests
- Oval leaves
- Crowded pink and white flowers
- Snow-white, waxy berries
- Branches can be used to make arrow shafts
- Leaves can be boiled to make a wash for sore eyes
- Found at Stops 1 through 11
