Plant Description:

  • Many-stemmed, upright plant growing up to 20 cm tall
  • Lightly hairy, sword-shaped leaves, decreasing in size as they grow further up the stem
  • Each stem ends in a flower head of yellow disc florets and skinny white ray florets
  • Widespread in dry prairies and on slopes
  • Found at Stops 1 and 2
