Smooth sweet cicely
Osmorhiza aristata (Thunb.) Mak. + Yabe

 

Plant Description:

  • Woodland plant with smooth stems, growing up to 90 cm tall
  • Leaves split into three's with pointed tips and toothed edges
  • Small, white flowers in shape of umbrellas
  • Roots can be ground up into a flour or used in a wash for newborns
  • Found at Stop 1 - on the Hiking Trail
