Rhus radicans L. var. rydbergii (Small) Rehder

 

Plant Description:

  • Single-stemmed, upright plant growing up to 30 cm tall
  • Leaves made up of 3 large, bright green, strongly veined leaflets
  • White to yellow flowers
  • Dull white berries for fruit
  • Causes severe skin rashes in some people
  • Occurs in ravines, moist areas and open-forests
  • Found at Stop 1 - on the Interpretive Nature Trail and Hiking Trail
