Hoary puccoon
Lithospermum canescens (Michx.) Lehm.
Plant Description:
- Hairy, upright plant growing up to 50 cm high
- Occurs in wooded areas of grasslands
- Sword-shaped leaves with no stalks
- Orange to yellow tube-like flowers in a cluster at plant top
- Found at Stop 1 - on the Interpretive Nature Trail and Hiking Trail
