Lithospermum canescens (Michx.) Lehm.

 

Plant Description:

  • Hairy, upright plant growing up to 50 cm high
  • Occurs in wooded areas of grasslands
  • Sword-shaped leaves with no stalks
  • Orange to yellow tube-like flowers in a cluster at plant top
  • Found at Stop 1 - on the Interpretive Nature Trail and Hiking Trail
