Harebell
Campanula rotundifolia L.
Plant Description:
- Grows up to 50 cm high with many stems
- Round basal leaves fall off early in season
- Stem leaves are sword-shaped
- 1 or more drooping, bell-shaped flowers
- Found on dry slopes and open prairie
- Natives chewed on the roots to relieve heart palpitations, and made into a tea to cure flu, fever and lung or heart problems
- A very hardy plant
- In Scotland,in the past, this plant was considered to be bad luck
- Found at Stops 1, 2, and 9
