Hairy golden-aster
Chrysopsis villosa (Pursh) Nutt.
Plant Description:
- Low-growing, hairy, prairie plant with highly branched, leafy stems and a woody taproot, growing up to 60 cm tall
- Grayish-green, sword-shaped leaves
- Flowers are yellow ray florets
- Occurs on dry, sandy prairies and hillsides
- Found at Stops 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, and 9
