Fraxinus pennsylvanica Marsh. var. austinii Fern.

 

Plant Description:

  • Tall tree, growing up to 10m
  • Leaves consist of 7 leaflets or less
  • Found along rivers, lakes and ravines of the Prairies
  • Teas made from the inner bark can relieve depression
  • Wood was used to make bows and arrows, pegs and drums
  • Found at Stops 1, 2, 6, 8, and 12
