Great-flowered gaillardia
Gaillardia aristata Pursh.
Plant Description:
- Widespread, prairie flower with a hairy stem, growing up to 60cm tall
- Solitary flower heads on stem tip that tend to droop; yellow ray florets surround a protruding, round red-brown disc
- Gray, hairy lower leaves and few, smaller, stalkless, upper leaves
- Found at Stops 1, 2, 7, 9, and 10
