Graceful (Canada) goldenrod
Solidago canadensis L. var. canadensis
Plant Description:
- A skinny, hairy stem with many fat, sword-shaped leaves, growing up to 60 cm tall
- Yellow, triangular-shaped, clusters of small flower heads
- This plant is often blamed for hay fever, but the pollen is actually too heavy to be carried by wind
- Flowers can be made into yellow dye
- Was a substitute for tea during the American revolution
- Found at Stops 1 through 11
