Rumex maritimus L. var. fueginus (Phil.) Dusen

 

Plant Description:

  • Highly branched plant growing up to 60 cm tall
  • Leaves are long and sword-shaped
  • Greenish-brown flowers are in dense clusters along the stem
  • Occurs in wet areas, usually in salty soil conditions
  • Can cause skin irritation and should not be eaten as it will irritate the kidneys
  • The leaves contain a poisonous acid
  • Found Stops 1, 3, and 8
