Compact groundsel
Senecio tridenticulatus Rydb.

 

Plant Description:

  • Short, skinny, plant with a hairy base, growing up to 30 cm tall
  • Bottom leaves have toothed edges on a stalk
  • Upper leaves are sword-shaped with no stalks
  • Yellow ray florets make up the crowded flower heads
  • Found mostly in moist areas and in open-forests
  • Cattle does not like to eat this plant - which is good, as it is poisonous
  • Found at Stops 1 and 2
