Plant Description:

  • Introduced plant, seen on disturbed sites and along field edges
  • Tough, wooly, much-branched, leafy plant growing up to 150 cm tall
  • Green, dissected, prickly, hairy leaves
  • Many purple flowers surrounded by spine-tipped bracts
  • Found at Stop 7
