Plant Description:

  • Climbing plant with strongly veined leaves, growing up to 80 cm long
  • Long, loose, bluish-purple flower clusters
  • Prairie legume found around bluffs and in the shade
  • This vetch is not poisonous, but use caution as many vetches produce hydrocyanic acid and can cause cyanide poisoning
  • Found at Stops 1 and 2
