Heuchera richardsonii R. Br.

 

Plant Description:

  • Open-wooded, moist prairie plant with a straight stem growing up to 50 cm tall
  • Heart-shaped lobed leaves at base
  • Closed pale pink flowers in loose clusters along the stem
  • Roots can be applied to cuts to reduce bleeding and quicken healing
  • Can make a tea to treat fevers and sore throats
  • Found at Stop 1- on the Interpretive Nature Trail, and Stop 2
