Plant Description:

• Widespread legume growing up to 60 cm tall in disturbed sites and ditches
• Leaves of 3 leaflets on long stalks
• Pink flowers
• Nitrogen-fixing fodder - the roots have nodules that are made up of bacteria that take up nitrogen and convert into a form usable by plants
• Found at Stop 1- on Interpretive Nature Trail, and Stop 2
