Slender wheatgrass
Agropyron trachycaulum (Link) Malte.
Plant Description:
- Slender, upright grass growing up to 1 m tall
- Spikes are stiff and may be slightly curved
- Sheaths have a purplish base; blades are rough surfaced
- Occurs in moist areas, ravines and open prairies
- Good forage grass; grains are also good ground as flour
- Found at Stops 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, and 11
