Blue lettuce
Lactuca pulchella (Pursh) DC.
Plant Description:
- Widespread, prairie weed
- Grows up to 1 m tall
- Leaves are sword-shaped
- Several small, blue flowers on a branching stem, the petals are reflexed back on top of a tube
- Found on disturbed sites, along ditches and around some wetlands
- Can cause skin irritation
- Found at Stops 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 9
