Plant Description:
- Straight, sturdy, marsh sedge growing over 1 m tall
- Stems have thin paper look
- Long inflorescences with a long blade continuing past; purple-red flowers have awns and hooks
- Occurs in sloughs and marshes
- Found at Stop 3
