Plant Description:

  • Straight, sturdy, marsh sedge growing over 1 m tall
  • Stems have thin paper look
  • Long inflorescences with a long blade continuing past; purple-red flowers have awns and hooks
  • Occurs in sloughs and marshes
  • Found at Stop 3
