Core funding for the Centre for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education was obtained from The University or Regina and from the Promoscience program of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council.

Funding to support students in some of the activities on the CMSTE site has been obtained from the Saskatchewan Centennial fund both through Saskatchewan Learning and the Department of Culture, Youth and Recreation. The support from the Department of Culture and youth comes through its SaskYouth initiative and the Green Team, an initiative of the Saskatchewan Environmental Industry and Managers Association.
