.How many boys' washrooms are in the school? How many girls' washrooms (not including staff washrooms)? Are there the same number of each?

.Look above the chalkboard in Mrs. Teeds' classroom? How many letters are in the alphabet? Is this number odd or even?

.Look down the senior students' hallway. These are all new classrooms, which have been added on to the building, called portables. Count how many portable classrooms there are. How many?

.Draw two other shapes that we could arrange our classroom desks into?

.Go to the scoreboard at the far end of the gym. If St. Francis had 14 points and the visiting school had 5 points, by how many points would St. Francis win?

.Go to the school library. Approximately how many books do you think there are altogether?

.Guess how many Mrs. Teeds it would take to equal the height of the school?

.Is St. Francis School taller than it is wide, or wider than it is tall?

.Stand outside in front of St. Francis, beside the crosswalk (DO NOT CROSS THE STREET). Look at your watch for two minutes and count how many vehicles go by in that time.

.Go to the main playground apparatus that the grade three's use. You will see three different slides. Guess which slide is the fastest (describe or draw the shape of the slide). Now, using your stopwatch, have you or your partner go down each to test it. Was your first guess right?
