  Outside the front entrance under the Marion McVeety school sign there are some similar repeating patterns or tessellations. Look down.

  Go to the first bike rack. Estimate how many of your feet it will take to get from one side of the bike rack to the other.

Station 3:Circumference
  Many of us use tires everyday. There are tires on our cars, bikes, buses, etc..

At the jungle gym, measure with a ruler the top of the tire from one end to the other. __________ cm

Station 4:Triangles
  Stop at the red climbing structure. Take a good look at the structure.

Station 6:Windows
  Look at the small square windows at the top of the school.

Station 7:Swing Set
  At the swing set, push the swing back and forth. Count how many times the swing goes back and forth in 10 seconds. __________ times

Station 8:License Plate
  Go to the school parking lot. Look at the license plates on the red car.


What is the license plate number? ________ ________


How many different combinations of the license plate can you make?

For example, if a license plate number is ABC 123, you can make several combinations.

Try to see how many you can get.
